Heavies put the pressure on retired couple

Tax collectors send the boys round to wrong Ewell Road.

Two debt collectors made a heavy handed morning call to a retired couples' home. The JBW Enforcement bailiffs demanded unpaid council tax payments, insisting they see a occupant unknown to Mr and Mrs De Domingo.

Arriving at their doorstep at 7 o' clock in the morning, the bailifs refused to believe Santiago De Domingo who answered his doorbell in his pyjamas, keeping him at his door for nearly an hour. During the insident one of the bailiffs broke a window pane on Mr De Domingo's door as he attempted to close it on them.

Eventually the police were called to the house, where it transpired that the bailiffs should have been at the Ewell Road in Long Ditton.
