Rush have just opened in Surbiton. I looked at their price list, their top stylist ( apparently they are called Directors now) charges £72 for a cut and blowdry !!!! Goodness it is Surbiton not Chelsea. However on saying that they have 50% off at the moment. Has anyone been there yet, what are they like? Otherwise any recommendations please?

I will will soon be inheriting a new man of the house, a 9yr old male Miniature Schnauzer and I'm trying to find a good / reliable dog walker / sitter fro the Surbiton area who will be able to walk him every (or almost every) weekday.

He can be a handful and mischevious (noisy) to walk, but delightful nonetheless :-). If you know or can recommend anyone I'm all ears!!

From today Waitrose Surbiton are changing the 'free newspaper' rules. You will have to spend £10 instead of £5. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.... apparently tea and coffee rule stays the same.

Can anyone remember the name and any other information re the junior cadet force that shared the ATC premises at 1034 Squadron?
I don't know much about it except that they wore a quasi-military uniform and think they were probably of a similar age range to the cubs.
Despite sharing the ATC premises I don't think it was necessarily an intro group for youngsters keen to join the ATC. Please correct me if this is wrong.

When I say shared I believe they had a separate hut on the ATC grounds.

My sister and I both attended this school between 1953 and 1958 and I wonder if there are any members of this site who were there during this time.

Can anybody recommend a decent plumber, please?

I really can't believe there have been no comments on the new nail bar on Victoria Road.

Turners might have been a rubbish jewellers, but they always maintained their beautiful shop frontage. But painting it Barbie pink. It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham. Whoever was responsible should be strung up from one of the new lampposts.
