Does this result mean the Tories are finished in Kingston now?

Unbelievable result, must have been a very low poll, how could a L/Dem possibly win following the appalling track record in RBK local politics, let alone their wrecking tactics at Westminster,I can only assume that the local MP Davey, who seems a good chap albeit a bit left wing, had a positive effect on local voters.

The Tories have a mountain to climb not helped by the very poor performance of "call me Dave" at Westminster where he has allowed the L/Dems and the Eu to ride roughshod over him and his cabinet.Until we have a real Tory at Westminster I fear that the Tories are finished in this area, unless the Boundary changes throw up some surprises.

Low turnout 31% this area has been turned into flat land and the lies published by the Liberals were not sufficiently challenged. As for the elected candidate living in this area for 25 years, we have never heard him speak on residents' behalf at Development Control or Neighbourhood meetings in respect of overdevelopment.
So the LIBERALS on the council can say we:
gave permission for a building of townscape merit to be demolished (contrary to policy)
gave permission for 43 trees to be destroyed, many with TPO’s (contrary to policy)
gave permission for a school to be built without enough amenity space (contrary to policy) so that it needs a rooftop play area
gave permission for a school to be built which will only have 6 car parking spaces for teachers
gave permission for a “polyclinic” to be built expecting 8 doctor’s surgeries to move into it before checking whether the doctor’s wanted to move
So when the traffic is at a standstill in the Oakhill area and the Ewell Road is gridlocked,
the Liberals can say WE GAVE PERMISSION FOR THAT TO HAPPEN

Crikey me I knew the L/Dem local record was bad but what a chapter of disastrous decisions.

The new school by Oakhill is clearly utter nonsense, the traffic is already severely congested with resident parking,St Mathews appears to be doubling in size and is only 230 yards away,Ewell road is a farce and traffic already diverts along King Charles Road due to crazy necks and bus lanes.

The Polyclinic seems to be missing a dentist and why would 8 doctors wish to move in with no parking for them or customers?

Next travesty will be the use of 6.5 acres of Tolworth School to augment the existing "Travellers" ghetto, and yet the L/Dems still get support in Surbiton, how can that be?
