Kingston's annual festival of ideas returns to venues around the borough in October, this year featuring a month of discussions, activities and events on the theme of Money, starting on October 1st with a discussion on co-operatives as a business model.
See www.thinkinkingston.org.uk or pick up a flyer from a public space near you for an exciting programme of events which includes: distinguished visiting speakers such as economist Diane Coyle and Dr Tim Leunig and population expert Roger Martin; displays all month and an event for children at Kingston Libraries, and a "Follow the Money trail" at Kingston Museum; talks and discussions exploring a variety of perspectives on money and our current economic situation - alternative, conventional, political, historical, religious, environmental, economic, philosophical, radical, practical, ethical… Lots to exercise those grey cells - so do come along to explore a subject that affects us all.
The festival is run by a consortium of participating community groups, with funding from Royal Borough of Kingston and sponsorship from Kingstonfirst.
