Local company Kingston Musical Theatre continues its showcase of new musical theatre with its latest production of ‘No One in the World’, written by London School of Musical Theatre’s Head of Music, Charles Miller. Having only been staged at the theatre school and off Broadway, KMT are excited to be performing this incredible piece in Kingston upon Thames for fans of new musical theatre, as well as fans of Charles’ other work (When Midnight Strikes, Hope, Brenda Bly Teen Detective).

KMT company director, and member of the cast of No One in the World, Dean Robertson, said, “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to be the first amateur group to put on this show in the UK. And we’re particularly excited that the composer himself is attending one of the performances. It’s not often that a theatre company gets the chance to perform in front of one of the show’s writers. It’s added pressure for the cast, of course, but definitely in a good way!”

Directed by Danny Willis
Musical direction by Nic Luker
Choreographed by Emma Rowland

No One in the World is a touching, hilarious and at times gritty show that follows a group of young people on their various paths to success, failure, and the many places in-between, as they attempt to seek their fame and fortune on Broadway.

Full of hopes and dreams, they start their journey on the bumpy road to stardom. One by one, they must accept their fates and walk the path that belongs to them.

Previous praise for KMT’s most recent production, Sex, Love and Dumping, includes:

“An outstanding evening of entertainment …a must see! The ability to keep an audience silent with emotion one minute and roaring with laughter the next with the use of new up and coming songs is something that is hard to achieve but my God, do KMT do it well!”

“…the kind of show where people are insanely talented and funny and you have to hold your head because you think it might explode where it is hurting so much.....”
