A comical-tragical road-trip along the seven ages of woman, written and performed by Aussie-born, Liverpool-based actress, story-teller and singing clown Flloyd Kennedy (with William Shakespeare) returning to The CornerHOUSE, Surbiton on Saturday 23rd November for one night only!
Yes! Because… is a one hour, one woman variety show, directed by Ira Seidenstein (Cirque du Soleil) in which a woman uses wit, a finely tuned sense of the ridiculous, Shakespeare’s sonnets (only slightly mangled) and a ukulele to reminisce about her experience of life as an touring actor, a daughter and a mother.
Tickets £9 and £7 concessions. Cash on the door.
Review from LondonPubTheatres: “Flloyd Kennedy twinkles and twirls in peacock blue (with matching nail polish) and takes the audience on an hour-long romp through her character’s life. Just as we’re drawn into Shakespeare’s most sublime verse, out comes the ukulele and we’re transported from an outback dunny to the local dance via some musings on life, love, parenting and grandkids"
