Step into the green room with Lady Christina at the end of what could be her last show.

She’s tired of metro-sexual audiences looking for something a little risqué to tell their mothers about, she’s tired of young drag queens making it look easy, and she’s tired of putting on the make-up and becoming someone else every night. In short, Drag has become a drag.

But past and present collide as Christina starts to take off the make-up to find her father’s features reflected in the face she sees in the mirror. It’s a reminder of all the reasons why Christopher Laneghan invited her into his life, and maybe the thing that keeps Christina alive.

Make-up is the new play by Andy Moseley, writer of cornerHOUSE oneAct hits Are You Lonesome Tonight? Going for Gold and Little Grains of Sand.

The show runs from 8.00pm to 9.00pm. At the end of the show there will be a 15 minute break before a Q and A session with Andy Moseley and Moj Taylor, who plays Lady Christina in the production.

Tickets cost £8.00 + 80p booking fee from https://www.wegottickets.com/event/493489

The show has been rearranged from 14 May. Original tickets are valid for the new show. To comply with requirements for live performances, capacity is limited to 40 and social distancing measures will be in place. No tickets will be sold at the venue on the evening of the show.

At the start of July, when the doors to the cornerHOUSE were opened again, we came in and made a 15 minute promotional film version of the show. You can view the film here and get a little glimpse behind the stage doors of the building! https://www.nologoproductions.com/makeupmovie.html
