In the know on renewable energy?

On Wednesday 14th October from 7pm, Kingston residents and visitors will have the chance to hear one of the country’s foremost renewable energy experts. Local resident Brian Mark, an adviser on renewables to the government, will speak at C-SCAIPE, Kingston University, Penrhyn Road (KT1 2EE) as part of a free Transition Town Kingston event.

Brian will cover the emerging national and local policy that he has seen develop - then lead discussion on the implications for Kingston. The talk is all the more timely given the government's recent Conference pledge on green jobs - how might Kingston capitalise?

Transition Town Kingston was set up to promote collective local action on energy and related issues. South West London Green Champion, Martin Birley, said ‘We’re lucky to have Brian living locally and he always provokes a good debate – so do come along, bring friends and get involved.’

Refreshments provided.
