Ever been on Raven's Ait before? Ever been to a festival of voice before?.. Well on Sunday 20th September you can do both!

The Festival of voice not only offers you the opportunity to see and hear Vocality in action, but if you’d like to “have a go”, you can take part in a 90 minute singing workshop run by our Surbiton choir leader Ben Crawley, along with fellow Vocality leader Sam Coates. Under their light hearted but immensely talented direction, you will be delighted by the sound you are able to create with others, and by the amount of fun you can have whilst doing it!

Ever wanted to try sailing?..
... rowing ?..
... paddle boarding?

On Saturday 19th September, Thames Sailing Club on Portsmouth Road will be open to all. If you've ever wanted to have a go at a river sport, why not come along and join in?

There will be music, food and lots of opportunity to try out different river craft.

Come and have a look around the club house and get a close up view and better knowledge of some exciting water activities.

For the first time in a very long time, the Surbiton Festival will be running an antiques valuation day. We are delighted to welcome David Ford from Secret Dealers for the day. So unpack the tea chests from the attic, clear out the boxes from the garage and see if you've a hidden treasure.

Surbo15: SurbEXPO - Business Show

Running a small business, working from home, a Surbiton Sole Trader? - then surbEXPO gives you a great chance to link with other like-minded business folk. Last year the event attracted over sixty traders from biscuit makers to chiropractors and from software writers to interior designers.

The event is very relaxed and unstructured with speakers, exhibitions, displays and networking opportunities.

Surbo15: SurboFoto - Photo Competition & Exhibition

For this year’s fun photographic competition, we’re looking for those mad hatters who are prepared to have their mug shots taken and presented as part of Snappy Snaps Surbofoto 2015.

You can enter up to three images, as long as they are with the judges by Monday 31st August, 2015.

So go ask your friends, relatives, colleagues or even your enemies to don their best ‘titfer’ and start snapping. There’ll be prizes worth hundreds of pounds plus other great photographic goodies to win.

Surbo15: SurboHoho - Comedy Night

For the last two years, comedy has become a fundamental part of the Surbo Festival. In 2013 we launched the 'Comedy Chaser' and last year you could hear peals of laughter emanating out of the basement of Rubi's cocktail bar in Maple Road. This year all things comical move to Brighton Road with two separate evenings of fun and frivolity.

Surbo15: The Seething Wells Trycyclingathon

Now in its fourth year, the Trycyclingathon brings cycling to Surbiton on Sunday 13th September with three great rides:

The Experienced Ride will start at 10am and finish at approximately 1pm. The suggested route takes in some of the beautiful countryside and incorporates some of the Olympic cycling route but you can go where you like. (approx 44 miles)

The Family Ride will start at 11.30am and finish at approximately 1pm. The suggested route is a gentler ride alongside the river, crossing it twice and taking in roads, park and riverbank. (approx 10 miles)

Surbo15: SurboYarns - Mad Hatter's Tea Party

On 'Saturday 12th September at St Marks' Church, Regency Bookshop will be holding a 'Mad Hatter's Tea Party' for parents and small children, celebrating 150 years since the book was first written.

There will be food, fun and frivolity with story-tellers and performers. You'll see your favourite characters from the book and there will be lots to celebrate. Watch this space for more information soon.

Surbo15: The Safer Surbiton Supper

To launch the Surbiton Festival fortnight, we are celebrating the work undertaken by local residents and businesses as part of both Kingston Borough Business Watch and Surbiton Neighbourhood Watch.

There will be a three course meal at Glenmore House in The Crescent on Friday 11th September with a ticket price of just £30.

Tickets will be available soon, all are welcome. Watch this space for further information on how to attend.

Doors will open at 7.00pm for a 7.45pm start.

A double glazer who found a kitten living in his van’s engine is looking for its rightful owner.
