6 The Crescent
A chef and former I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant will be popping into the borough to meet Surbiton Probus members and give a speech.
Television personality Rosemary Shrager who rose to fame in the ITV series Ladette to Lady where she sternly taught unruly ladies manners mixed with haute cuisine, will be speaking to members about cookery and her life. The men’s social club for retired or semi-retired businessmen and professionals will host the speech at Glenmore House in The Crescent, alongside a festive three course meal on December 18.
Mrs Shrager who has a number of published cookbooks, has her own cookery school in Kent which offers French and Italian cooking classes as well as a bread-making masterclass to wannabe fine-dining cooks. When she appeared on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in November 2012 she managed to lose more than two stones in just 12 days. She has also appeared on This Morning and The Alan Titchmarsh Show, but this year she will be appearing in Windsor Theatre’s Christmas pantomime, Aladdin.
