A 26-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating a homophobic assault in Surbiton on Halloween.
The man was arrested today on suspicion of common assault and inflicting grievous bodily harm. He remains at a west London police station, the Metropolitan Police said. The force said it was still looking for a second man.
The attack took place near Kentucky Fried Chicken in Brighton Road shortly after 1am on Saturday, November 1. Two men dressed as pink fairies allegedly stamped and kicked two other men after one hurled homophobic abuse at the victims. A 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old man suffered head and facial injuries, respectively.
