A man has been killed after being hit by a train at Surbiton Station this morning.
The emergency services were called at 9.36am, after the victim was struck by the 7.59am Bournemouth to London Waterloo service.
The station is currently closed while the incident is being dealt with.
His death is being treated as non-suspicious.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police, said: "BTP officers were called to Surbiton rail station on Wednesday, 6 April following a report of a person being struck by a train.
"BTP and Metropolitan Police officers attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 9.36am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
"Paramedics from the London Ambulance also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
