Two youngsters got the chance to get up close and personal with some of the world's best footballers when they escorted them out onto the pitch at last weekend's FA Community Shield.
Surbiton resident Evie Nendick, 8, and 11-year-old New Malden resident Harry Steels, walked hand in hand with Manchester United's captain, Nemanja Vidic and Manchester City's Mario Balotelli when they stepped out onto the turf at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The hotly billed Manchester derby was the first big game of the football season, and despite Manchester City taking the lead at half time, Manchester United came back to win the game 3-2.
Evie and Harry won a McDonald's competition to be among the 22 youngsters leading out the players. They also got the chance to meet England legend Sir Geoff Hurst.
