Dozens of cyclists will be whizzing through the streets in Edwardian and Victorian gear, some on penny farthings, next weekend.
The vintage bikers will be part of a Trycyclingathon aiming to raise money for charity.
The wacky sporting event organised by the State of Seething social club, will pass some of the borough’s most idyllic and historical spots on Sunday, September 16.
For the less eccentric there are two other cycle rides on the day.
A family ride will take in the borough’s parks and riverbanks, while a more experienced 44-mile route will go along some of the Olympic cycle route through Surrey’s beautiful countryside.
Each race will begin and finish at Claremont Gardens in Surbiton where there will also be entertainment by bands between 12.30pm and 4pm.
Money raised from the Seething Trycyclingathon will be donated to the mayor’s charities, which include Kingston Carers’ Network, Yorda Adventures and the Community Brain.
Brett Wainwright is a former police cadet from Box Hill who became paralysed from the chest down after a road traffic accident more than 20 years ago.
He has since taken part in a 250-mile cycle ride in Kenya raising more than £7,000 and has regularly championed sports for disabled people. He will be participating in the 10-mile family Trycyclingathon in Kingston.
The 44-mile experienced ride begins at 10am and finishes at 1pm. The 10-mile family ride starts at 11.30am and finishes at 1pm.
The five-mile vintage ride begins at 11.45am and finishes at about 1.15pm.
