Maple Road
It is that time of year again when the talcum miners and sardine fishermen don their costumes and parade through Surbiton for the Seething Festival.
The festival, designed to foster a sense of community, brings residents together around the rousing and heartwarming – if mythical – tale of heroic goat-boy Lefi Ganderson and his victory over nefarious giant Thamas Deeton. Bring the family to St Andrew’s Square in Maple Road from 2pm on Sunday, February 23, to enjoy live music and Morris dancing, plus local food and, of course, a charity bar.
The Seething legions will take to the streets for the annual parade at 3.30pm. Fancy dress is optional but definitely encouraged, organiser Robin Hutchinson said.
