South west London residents will be offered the opportunity to see the area's rail provider's plans to increase capacity on services.
Representatives from the South West Trains – Network Rail Alliance are hosting a passenger forum tomorrow at Waterloo station, where residents will have the chance to discuss what changes they would like to see made to the service. South West Trains workers will be there to explain new train times and capacity improvement works which will be introduced over the next 12 to 18 months.
In February 2015, a Which? survey found the rail provider to be one of the worst in the country alongside Thameslink and Southern Rail. A commuter train from Surbiton to Waterloo was late every day for the last three months of 2015. The focus of the forum will be the provider’s plans to build 30 new Class 707 trains, which are being built to provide travel for 18,000 additional peak-time passengers to London Waterloo. The forum begins at 7am and runs until 7pm.
