A mother formerly from Surbiton has been found murdered at her home in Newcastle – while her two children were at school.
The body of Heather Jane Arthur, nee Naylor, was discovered at 11am on Monday at her home in Gosforth, an affluent suburb of the north-east city. Northumbria Police said the 50-year-old suffered “unexplained injuries”. Originally from the Isle of Wight, Mrs Arthur lived at Bramley Mansions, in Berrylands Road, until 2010 with her partner Mark Arthur and two children, a boy and a girl.
She and Mr Arthur were directors of a business called the Deep Blue Project. A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
