Two men injured in serious assault in south-west London

Two men are in hospital, one with a serious neck injury, following a violent attack in south west London this morning.

Police believe the pair were assaulted on Electric Parade near KFC in Surbiton, shortly before 6am. Officers called to the scene found a man in his 20s with facial injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains, though his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

More than an hour and half later, police were notified about another man, also in his 20s, who had taken himself to A&E with a serious neck injury. He remains in hospital in a serious condition, Scotland Yard said.

There have been no arrests and police are appealing for witnesses and information. Contact officers at Kingston Borough police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
