A Surbiton house that was being used as a cannabis farm went up in flames in the early hours of Monday morning.
The emergency services were called to a semi-detached house in Hamilton Avenue just after 1.40am after reports that it had caught alight.
More than 20 firefighters battled the blaze for just under an hour and prevented it from spreading to neighbouring houses.
The fire destroyed the roof and seriously damaged parts of the ground and first floor.
During the blaze, firefighters discovered that there was a large amount of cannabis being grown in the house.
No arrests have been made.
