The long-running campaign for a major new healthcare building on the Surbiton Hospital site could be entering its final stages.
And the redevelopment project has one major added bonus for Surbiton - it includes a much-needed new primary school.
At times, it's seemed these campaigns might never end.
But thanks to the hard work of many- at NHS Kingston and Kingston Council, working with local GPs, patients, parents, carers and residents - the designs are now well-developed.
The business plan for the health facility got the green light from London's Strategic Health Authority last month and the final consultation for planning is due to close on 14th January.
