Monthly public meetings with Safer Neighbourhoods teams announced.
Kingston Police has announced a host of public meetings, street briefings and community events to find out from residents what crime concerns they have. In Surbiton there will be public meetings in the YMCA in Victoria Road, School Lane Community Centre, Tolworth Recreation Centre and the Cornerhouse Arts Centre in Douglas Road. In the Alexandra area there will be a Street Briefing happening in Elgar Avenue, and another in The Byeways for the Berrylands area.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Kingston's force currently has the joint second best public approval ratings in the capital with 81 per cent of victims satisfied with the service.
The Metropolitan Police promise as part of their policing pledge to attend regular public meetings, at least once a month, to agree local crime and policing priorities and give updates about crime and policing issues.
