Spring flowers, spectacular cakes, pastries and gourmet gifts will make Surbiton Farmers’ Market the place to go for your Mothers’ Day presents.
The market runs from 9am to 1pm on Saturday March 17, perfect timing for Sunday’s celebrations. New stallholders will join traditional favourites to make up a total of 26 stalls with fresh produce and speciality foods. Maple Road’s cafés, restaurants and bars will be open as usual for breakfast, lunch and drinks.
At the market this month will be:
• Pantry Cupcakes She’s back! After a break in February, Sasha returns with her amazing decorated cupcakes and special occasion cakes
• Secretts Farm will have spring flowers alongside its superb selection of top-quality vegetables and salads grown in Surrey
• Ringden Farm from the Kent/Sussex borders will be joining the market for the first time with its award-winning juices and English apples
• The Parsnipship produces delicious savoury vegetarian and vegan pies using locally sourced seasonal ingredients
This month’s stalls will include Age Concern Kingston, supporting older people in the area, and Kingston Advocacy Group which helps vulnerable people have a say in decisions that affect them by providing independent advocacy support.
Surbiton Farmers’ Market has recently been recognised by national and local awards, winning the Kingston Business Award for Commitment to the Community and reaching the final of the 2012 Farmers’ Market of the Year Awards organised by the National Farmers’ Retail & Markets Association. FARMA represents 250 of the estimated 750 farmers’ markets around the UK.
