Surbiton’s Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday with more than 25 stalls of wonderful fresh produce and speciality foods, including seasonal farm-made apple and pear juices from Godstone in Surrey.
The market is held in Maple Road on the third Saturday of the month from 9am to 1pm. Bars and restaurants will be open as usual for breakfast, coffee and lunch.
Maple Road Surbiton Farmers’ Market is a Community Interest Company run by volunteers. Surplus proceeds are returned to the community to support local charities and good causes.
The September market will welcome Kingston Samaritans and The Stud Nursery as stallholders. The market is also donating £819 to The Samaritans, located in nearby St Andrew's Road, to fund a new laptop and a folding bed for its volunteers so that they can provide support around the clock every day.
Local photographer David Jacobson has taken some fantastic photographs over the past year at the Farmers' Markets, which he has made into a calendar and Christmas card on sale from the next market, on October 16. Samples will be available on the organisers’ stall this Saturday for pre-ordering.
