A person has died after being hit by a train at Tolworth station, British Transport Police has confirmed.
A spokesman for the BTP said they had been called to the station just after 2.10pm.
He said: "Officers are on scene alongside paramedics however a person has sadly been pronounced dead.
"We are now working hard to identify the person and inform their family.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
South West Trains tweeted that services between Chessington South and Waterloo have been suspended while emergency services attend.

A South West Trains spokesman said: "Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Malden Manor and Chessington South, all lines between these stations are blocked.
"Train services running between Malden Manor and Chessington South will be subject to delay of up to 30 minutes, cancellation or alteration at short notice.
"You can use their tickets on local TFL bus routes in the New Malden, Surbiton, Raynes Park and Wimbledon areas via any reasonable route.
"Response staff are on site and further updates will be provided when known."
Danny Lee Thomas was near the station when emergency vehicles arrived.
He said: "I wasn't present at the time it happened, I was near a bus stop shortly after it did.
"I had a bad feeling by the way things were over there that something bad happened.
"Sending my wishes to their family and hope they are ok through a time like this."
