Kingston is taking part in Open House London for the first time in its 25 year history.
Open House is a two-day event that promotes architecture appreciation and gives the public the chance to explore the inside of exceptional buildings usually hidden from view.
On the weekend of September 16 and 17, residents will get the chance to venture into Clover House on Kingston Hill, Dorich Museum in Kingston Vale and Fredrick W Payne, the longest operating funeral directors in the borough with a Grade II listed interior. Free tours will detail the rich history or significance of each of these hidden gems.
Also included are Chestnut Road, Guildhall and History Centre, Hillcroft College, Ivy Conduit, Kingston Ancient Market Place, Kingston Museum and Light play.
A guided tour of Surbiton will begin at Surbiton train station at Sunday at 2.30.
