What's one plus two?

Eagle-eyed users may have noticed a change on the site today. In order to combat an increasing problem with 'spambots', Surbiton.com now requires users to solve a simple mathematical question before posting comments anonymously.

Spambots are programs that search the internet for websites where they can automatically post advertisements. We've recently been plagued with an spate of pharmaceutical ads which have until today have had to been manually removed from the site. The inclusion of a maths problem is intended to stump these spambots. Registered users who've logged in will be able to post as normal, as well as benefiting from immediate comment publication, email notification on replies and the ability to create new forum topics.

You should be aware that the other participants are strangers to you and may make statements which may be misleading, deceptive or wrong.
