Witness appeal launched after Surbiton man dies following motorbike collision

A Witness appeal has been launched following the death of a Surbiton man after he was hit by a motorbike earlier this year.

Just after 6.30pm on Wednesday, November 17, the emergency services were called to Ewell Road, near Langley Road, after reports that a man had been hit by a motorcycle.

James Christoper Daley, 68, known as Jim, was taken to hospital in a critical condition where he remained for 12 days.

He never recovered from the injuries and died on Monday, November 29. A post mortem gave the cause of death as a head injury.

The motorcyclist involved in the crash did stop at the scene and has assisted police in the investigation.

Officers from the road death investigation unit and are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Anyone with any information, should call the incident room on 020 8941 9011.
