Moody blues
Being brought up in the Middle East has had a profound effect on artist Charlotte Amison.
Charlotte who is exhibiting at the cornerHOUSE arts centre in June, says the vibrant colourful culture and the strong use of primary colours in the region's decor and interiors is reflected in her striking canvases.
“Without a doubt, this has had a profound effect on my relationship with colour and the way I use it within my work - and the way I see the world,” she explained.
Charlotte's eponymous show is a mixture of canvases and paintings on board with wooden frames.
Performance also on 9th May 4pm and 7.30pm. The landirani Trust, a local charity supporting orphans in Malawi is bringing Malawi to Surbiton through story telling, film, photography and artwork. The money raised from this event will go to improve water and sanitation in The Landirani Trust support area. landirani.org
