I've been using Elton Park for years. The owner never shows any recognition of me and lacks a great deal in warmth! However I have always found them to be honest, reliable and skilled. I believe they are quite pricey but several times I have visited and received free good advice and I don't think I've ever been sold things I don't need which I find invaluable. I would and do recommend them to friends.
i took my car to this garage to have a new clutch line fitted. they notified me that the par i had purchased was not the damaged part but they could replaced the damaged clutch hard line. i thought great my cars fixed, once picking it up and seeing it in day light, the passenger mirror is scuffed, there are minor scratches on a wing and bumper, but worst of all, the rear bumper has been pushed making it out of place and also cracking the paint on it which means my now near immaculate car needs to be repaired. i notified the garage the next day, the owner was not in till later so i called and explained, he denied that it could not have happened, he suggested i bring the car so he can take a look, i did so at which point he was getting irate and annoyed with me saying that it couldnt have happened anywhere else which it couldnt. i have reported them to trading standards and have been looking into legal action against them.
i would not use this garage, the owner comes accross as rude and dodgy.
i will NEVER use this garage again!!!
Recently took my old banger in there as I felt it was best before bits fell off! I spoke to Reg and found him very insightfull and got a good feeling from him that I was in good hands. Service and staff was proffesional and friendly, at no point did I feel I was about to receive a dreaded sigh and the dreaded finger motion. Very honest and very reasonable price. I highly recomend everybody to use them.
Elton Motors, prices slightly above average, service OK. Have had MOT only (i.e. no service) and had a clean pass on my old cars - so I trust them to not suggest work that I do not need. Customer service not much to write home about - they stamped the wrong page on my service book (120K rather than 80K) and couldnt give a monkeys when I asked them to correct it.
Ok service and prices, little rough and ready though.
