Really like the Grove now since the refurb. Food and drink is excellent if a tad on the expensive side. Great garden in the summer.
Been out of the area for a long spell and returned to find the Grove,great lunch today at reasonable price with excellent service,noticed very large garden area well stocked with tables and chairs,will certainly be eating here again soon.
Just had a great lunch with a good Hampshire guest ale,the ale at normal price of £3.70 p/pint,house wine a little pricey at £5.70 for large glass,ample seating inside and out and a good selection on the menu.
Décor is simple,muted and very pleasant,the staff on duty today were attentive,polite,clean and swift to deliver the courses,well worth the 12.5% service on auto include.
A great asset to Surbiton.
Just been re-opened after a refurbishment and I have to say they have it got it spot on. Just what the area needed. Unlike Gordon Bennetts , the most over-rated bar in Surbition. This place has good ales, beers , great food , friendly staff and nice decor. Surbiton has been waiting for a pub like this for years. The food is slightly above average prices for such an establishment but the quality so far is excellent. Didn't see a TV anywhere, which is a god send.
5 stars! After a second refurbishment and new owners, this is transformation we have been waiting for from a pub which has never reached its potential before. If they can sort out and provide the best weekend Brunch, they ave it cracked. Just need some decent weather for the wonderful garden area.
