I've heard that they're developing a new shopping centre in Surbiton, Putney-style - is this true?

The only site I could think of would be the station carpark.
Everywhere else has already been developed as flats.
Well spotted. I guess if we have to endure another chain restaurant in Surbiton, then Pizza Express is the one to have. Let's face it, it has to be better than another reincarnation of the St Marks Tavern.
Did anyone else notice they've applied to put a Pizza Express?
It should do well I think. It can't be any worse than Esher.
