I ordered a Taxi the day before for a hospital appointment at 8:15 in the morning.. I was told the fares had gone up 15%. I was disappointed but accepted it.
On the morning I waited till it was 15 minutes late before calling to chase it up. Another branch answered (there's a few and hard to determine the company structure....). They said they would put m through to the local office). I waited another 10 minutes (25 minutes late by now). I was told that 'two of our cars have broken down' (personally, I don't believe this) and it's busy.
At no time did they attempt to let me know so I could make alternative arrangements. The taxi eventually turned up 45 minutes late at 9 am. minutes late). I was late for my appointment with repercussions for me and the NHS staff..
I will NEVER use this company again..
One of the worst car drop services I have encountered. I booked a drop Surbiton to Gatwick Airport and had a 1.5 year infant traveling with me. Firstly the driver did not arrive on time. Then when I called up the services, the manager instead of placating me, (because I was obviously running late) tried to blame the delay on the driver who did not have a baby car seat and had to rush to arrange for one. He tone was far from friendly! Having finally arrived 15 minutes late, I find out that the baby car seat belt had a faulty lock and could not be fastened. So after having tried to secure the lock in vain for I finally had to settle with holding the baby which is ideally against the law. I had no time to arrange for another cab. But I would not recommend using their services. And I don't trust the information that they provide on their website either on the safety and trained drivers.
Grabbed one of their taxis on my last trip to London, no problems here as others have mentioned. Arrived on time, nice clean cabs, and I'm a happy traveler!
I lost my phone in one of their cabs, and called them up moments later whereupon they denied ever having picked me up and said there was no phone in any of their cabs. This was pretty fishy considering they hadn't even checked them yet.
I had booked a taxi to london and back, all paid in advance, and when I called them up later that night for the trip back, they demanded my card number for an additional charge, before they would even send the taxi out that I had already PAID for.
Absolutely rubbish company, I would have been better off walking to London and back, even if I had lost my phone then I would know it wasn't stolen by these bunch of criminals.
I have used station cars all the time, their location is their best asset. As far as mini cabs they are OK and are always friendly. The office does have a habit of forgetting bookings and the drivers dont always turn up on time which is very frustrating. I would say one of of every three booking are forgotten and I have to chase up. Very frustrating.
Like anywhere, it all depends who deals with you. Mohammed is a dude, really friendly and helpful. But if something goes wrong - as it did with me - it was a struggle finding anyone to take responsibility for the balls-up. I suspect it's typical of customer service in general in the UK but it was pretty shoddy.
Having said all that the drivers have always been pleasant and efficient!
The best minicab service in Surbiton IMHO.
I agree. They are always prompt and reasonably priced. I use them a lot for everything from airport runs to those times I am feeling lazy and get a cab back from Kingston!
