Kingston Choral Society (KCS), one of the leading choirs in South West London, will be performing its Spring Concert on Saturday 26th March, at St Andrew’s Church, Surbiton.

KCS will be performing Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Pilgrim’s Journey.
Carmina Burana is Orff’s masterpiece, a setting of irreverent and often bawdy lyrics from mediaeval Bavaria, thrilling and seductive in equal measure. Paired with Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Pilgrim’s Journey, which includes some of his most beautiful choral writing, the evening promises dramatic musical entertainment.
The concert will be the first to be conducted by the Society’s new Musical Director, Andrew Griffiths. Soloists taking part will be Aoife O’Sullivan as soprano, Tyler Clarke as tenor and David Butt Philip as baritone.

The concert will start at 7.30pm with an open rehearsal at 2.30pm. Tickets are available from: Hands Music, Market Place, Kingston, online at www.kingston.gov.uk/index.htm, or from 020 8339 0816. They can also be bought on the door. Prices start from £5 for under 18s, full price tickets are £12 and concessions £10.
