Come and meet Edna and discuss her art work.

" Like his paintings, the artist’s soul is full of contrast, full of unknown corners yet there are moments of illumination. It is through the process of creation when light and shadow are brought together, that we recognized something of the world within us. From that moment on we are no longer the same, it is the alchemy of life, where everything passes and everything remains, where time is not linear.
The soul is sometimes reflected through the darkness behind each brushstroke, and at other times through the light…Honest moments that shows the nudity of the artist’s soul. Where his vulnerability is exposed.
Light and shadow are crossed by the brush without space or time to become an image. And that is the mysterious alchemy of art. It comes to life from this place where words don’t exist.
That’s why I called this exhibition “Chiaroscuro”."

In Richmond, her work was displayed at The Bowman Gallery in June last year, and previously with the Richmond Art Society and other local facilities and churches.
The work at the cornerHOUSE is for sale.

The exhibition runs from Sunday, April 29 to Friday, May 25 and is viewable whenever the cornerHOUSE is open. More details at info@thecornerhouse.org.
