A mixture of acrylic paintings on canvas and digital prints on foamboard comes to the cornerHOUSE in June.
Jenny Meehan, who has exhibited her work at the cornerHOUSE before, is exploring a new theme on lyrical and geometric abstraction with this show. The Chessington-based artist paints and produces digital imagery. Her work is widely exhibited around the UK. Jenny also teaches painting and drawing to small groups and individuals at her home studio.
This exhibition features recent abstract prints and paintings from 2012 and 2013, some of which is for sale. Prices range from £80-£300.
“Experimenting with both the defined structures and sturdy composition of geometric abstraction and then the fluid, suggestive, and emergent marks of a more process-led painting approach have been my main focus over the last year or so," explained Jenny.
"This exhibition shows both these strands in my practice which I am expecting to come together over the next few years. This exhibition gives you an opportunity to see how things are progressing, and I hope it gives all who see it a lot of pleasure."
The show is open to the public during its June 3-28 run during the times that the arts centre in Douglas Road is open for various events and shows. For dates and times, visit the cornerHOUSE Coming Soon page on our website.
