If you’ve been moved by the coverage the WW1 centenary and centenary events; why not consider signing up for our WW1 Battlefield Trek. We have just two places left, on what promises to be an incredibly poignant event. The three-day sponsored trek takes place in September 2014, walking through Northern France and Belgium. It is a physical challenge and will provide participants with a unique perspective of prominent battle-sites of the Ypres Salient.

The Royal Star & Garter Homes was founded in 1916, to provide care for the brave men returning from the WW1 battlefields. Although the care needs of residents have changed over the years, the Charity’s mission remains to provide brilliant nursing and therapeutic care for the whole military family, in comfortable, state-of-the-art homes.
