And then comes the big day - the Surbofest full day of stalls, entertainments, procession, live music, freshly cooked food, friends, festivities and fun.
And this year the big theme of the day is 'hats'. On 'Haturday' 26th September we would like to see the town swarming with the happy folk of the town out in their finest 'titfers'!!!
The High Street in Victoria Road will be closed to traffic from outside the station down to St Andrew's Road and from the same junction to St Andrew's Church in Maple Road.
Over 200 stalls will be selling goods, promoting local charities, selling food and drink and providing entertainment and activities of all sorts.
Live and kicking, Surbo15 will see over ten dance groups strutting their stuff - tapping, waltzing, reeling, whirling, stoppin', jumpin' and jivin'.
With the main dance stage set up in Claremont Gardens from 12.00 noon until 5.00pm there will be a host of dance groups including:
- Dance Fitness
- Irish Dancers
- Morris Dancers
- Surbiton & District Caledonian Dancers
- Line dancing
