30 Minutes Free Parking... How?

Do I have to get a ticket (i.e. Pay) before I get my 30 minutes free parking on certain roads in Surbiton.
Or do I just park and walk away. I put enough money in the meter in Brighton Road this week for an hour, but didnt get an extra free half hour, so how does it work? Thanks all.

Suggest you look at what it says on the machine. You wouldn't pay for the first 30 minutes. I would guess you may need to get a ticket from the machine but without putting in money.

You cannot get a ticket from the machine without putting money in. I presume you get an extra half hour at the end, but I agree, it is not clear at all.
