C'est bon — not so good news

I see that C'est Bon on Victoria Road has closed. Very sad. The owner's a lovely man who tried his hardest to make it work. The staff were all lovely too, and the weekly Chess Club a fabulous innovation; a real social hub. My young son always looked forward to it.

Does anyone know what happened? Ali, if you're reading this, I'm so sorry things didn't work out.

I mentioned this site to the Ritechem pharmacist.
Perhaps they will respond if they feel they have been libelled.

And if he doesn't respond??

Reasonable folk might assume the allegations have substance!

You could be right as no adverse remarks have been refuted.
Looks like the end of an era now as the place has been cleared out!

Yes I've been told that the man running the Ritechem Pharmacy is to blame, not paying rent to the landlords and keeping it for himself. A terrible shame as the man running the shop worked very hard and his business partner let him down with wrong doings. Since then I have never been back to the Pharmacy, I choose Boots instead!!! much better!!!

A really great place - very sad to see it closed at present. I understand they are trying to have it re-opened, as this closure was nothing to do with the present owner. Ali, if you come across these messages, hope you are keeping well and you will beback in business in know time.

i reckon the old pharmarcy didnt pay rent as they are the company on the debt collectors paper work on the window, i agree a really nice man running that, unlike the lot at old pucinnis next door!

Probably because it opened right next door to two established businesses doing pretty much the same thing.

C'etais bon.
