Council Tax in Surbiton

I moved to the area August 1999 from Balham - Surbiton is a great place to live ( shopping eating,commuting), but the C/tax is farcical - its double the amount we had paid under Wandsworth Council , and the services the council provides are a Joke compared to W/worth .
TheC/tax is going up again this year by almost 10% - any got any comments on this . I,m not a political animal , but this issue is becoming a real bugbear .

I believe that Wandsworth council tax is particularly low. Kingston is about average for the London boroughs, but it has been going up above inflation in recent years. From my perspective, the services I have used are pretty good, so I don't really have an issue, but equally not experience of Wandsworth with which to compare (except I avoid it like the plague en route to London as it is always jammed up. Its only saving grace is the yeast smell when Youngs are brewing!
