Reliable babysitter needed - any suggestions?

Can anyone recommend a reliable and friendly babysitter for the occassional evening out? I have recently moved to Surbiton and am looking for someone responsible to look after my two kids aged 4 and 6 when hubby and I want to go out.
Any recommendations much appreciated.

I have recently moved to the area after working as a nanny to four children in Sydney for a year. I would be very happy to meet with you and to meet your children to see if you think I would be right for your family. I can provide references from various families who I have worked for in the past.

Just feel I should say be careful who you let into your home to look after your children, there are some very iffy people around ... Make sure you get references. Perhaps an elderly neighbour would be glad of a change of scenery and a little extra cash? Ask neighbours, and in local shops, good luck!
