SATNAV

These are becoming a curse, the KCR Bridge being a favourite misdirection for artics.

Now seen on the Ewell Road a Volvo(what else) with his and her satnavs mounted on windscreen plus a fold up map for added perusal whilst driving erratically along.

Heigh Ho.

Goofus Positioning System?

I spent 60 quid over the weekend updating my sat nav's 4 year old maps. To my annoyance the KCR bridge was still shown as two-way! Luckly it now lets you edit the maps and save them for other users. Any other Tom Tom users should see my change next time they update.

Some towns actually put up special extra signs to warn sat nav users to pay attention to the road signs (huh?). I've done it myself though, it takes you so far out of your normal frame of reference you end up blindly following it's every whim. There's probably a term for it, or will be soon. Computer says no.
