Surbiton mechanics

Hello,

Rather than be ripped off by Coopers, just wondering if anyone can recommend a good mechanic in Surbiton. Particulary for BMW.

THANKS

Ironically, Trading Standards don't show any of the places shown in this thread!

Raeburn autos all day long!

please please go to the approved Trading Standards site for this kind of stuff people, it's failsafe http://www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk/sitepages/bwchome.aspx

it's taken Trading Standards a lot of work to set up Buy With Confidence, if only people would use it!! :-)

I can recommend Bridge Garage too. Friendly, quite fast and very helpful. They came round and collected my car once when it needed a service but had a flat battery.

Switched to Bridge Garage (Upper Brighton Road with half a car sticking out the side of the building!) from a main dealer last year. So far had MOT & Service and a couple of small things done - very good so far.

I take my BMW down the A3 to Haslemere, about 20 minutes drive to http://www.barkersmotorworks.co.uk/
An ex main dealer technician with loads of experience and a top chap to boot.
Half the price of main dealers. He does all the work on my car. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the tip, just used Barkers. First class service and an excellant price. They did the work for £400, Coopers wanted £1600 !

I have always been wary of recommending garages but can safely make an exception in this case. Try Coachworks Motovalet in Southsea Road. Their name belies their true focus as top - class car mechanics. They are honest and reliable professonals. They truly are experts in all makes from runabouts to supercars.

I have been using Coachworks for over 8 years now, for both business and personal vehicles. They've always been very helpful and extremely quick! I wouldn't go anywhere else.
