Valley Close, Glenbuck Road

Hi,

how safe and quiet is Glenbuck Road? - very close to Surbiton station. I'm a single woman mid30s looking to move into a rental flat in Valley Place, Glenbuck Road.

Is it safe to walk back home at night from the station? Looks like there are are some stories on the Internet regarding the adjacent building, Glenbuck Court.

Thank you.

Comments

I lived there, and was burgled as neighbours would let anyone in that pressed the entry system.

Can be noisy with people walking to the station early with suitcases on wheels and the fast trains always sound their horn on way through.

Otherwise okay.

Sorry I meant Valley Place.

It's not too bad, but not great by Surbiton standards. In some ways, it is safer going out of the back of the station, because it doesn't attract all of the beggars and drunks that you tend to get at the front.

Glenbuck Court became very notorious as a base for prostitution a few years ago, but I haven't heard anything about that lately.

A few years ago? try well over 10... I think you'll find its Valley Place with the working girls now. Police were there recently as the girls say they live in Glenbuck, when the clients buzz here they get told no, we've then seen the guys make phone calls and then head into Valley Place.
