Wheel clamping at Surbiton station

I was wheel clamped in Surbiton station several years ago when refurbishment works were ongoing.

The 2 disabled spaces had the markings moved to half way back and a car in the first space (possibly left by the clampers) obscured the disabled marking of the second space, so you did not know not to park there. Also the warning signs were half way up the lamp posts and angled so as to be invisible.

I was there for 4 minutes buying flowers and was clamped.

I complained that it was a set-up, and pestered the rail company for 3 years and eventually they gave back my £50. I hope this is of help to anyone who was similarly caught out.
