Tolworth Broadway
Yet more roadworks are looming for Tolworth’s greenway, and could include a new £110,000 crossing point.
After Kingston Council asked residents what changes they would like to see to the £3.1m scheme, officers have drawn up a new report outlining 11 potential alterations.
The most significant is a new, signalled pedestrian crossing, which under a “worst-case” scenario could cost up to £110,000. Maltreated Italian cypress trees, which died off earlier this year, are to be replaced at the expense of contractor North Midland Construction.
Changes to parking spaces in the Broadway are also among the plans, which will be sent to residents for another round of consultations.
Proposed alterations will come before councillors at a meeting next Wednesday, November 5, at Dysart School from 7.30pm.
