A Man died after being hit by a train at a level crossing on Tuesday morning.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was hit by a train bound for Hampton Court from Surbiton.
It happened around 6.50am and Summer Road, in Thames Ditton was closed to traffic.
Officers from Surrey Police and British Transport Police attended the scene.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said that officers were called to the Hampton level crossing, after a report that a man had been struck by a train.
The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
Officers are currently working to establish the identity of the man and inform next of kin. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
