Samuel Orola collapsed in the adventure playground in Tolworth Infant School during lunch break on Thursday, September 15, last year.
Thoughts and prayers have been offered to the family of Samuel Orola, who died from a heart attack after an accident in the school playground. The five-year-old collapsed in the adventure playground in Tolworth Infant School during lunch break on Thursday, September 15, last year. A jury at South West London Coroner’s Court concluded on Thursday, May 31, that Samuel suffered a vagal cardiac arrest after an accident of an "uncertain nature".
Kingston Council’s director of learning and children’s services Duncan Clark said he was sure parents would be assured by the inquest’s findings that the playground was safe and children were supervised properly.
Mr Clark said parents and carers may understandably have questions about the inquest’s findings and the council would do their best to make sure they understood the outcome.
Rachel Nye, Head Teacher at Tolworth Infant and Nursery School, said Samuel’s death had a profound effect on the school and everyone that knew him.
