Talented playwriters are being urged to come forward with their written masterpieces to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the One Acts festival next year.
The Cornerhouse has been asking drama, music and dance lovers to pitch their works as part of a competition to bring new productions to the forefront. The theatre has been encour-aging up-and-coming writers in this way for nearly a decade. But creative bods only have two months to get their juices flowing to be in with the chance to see their production live in the borough next year.
Themes for the last One Acts festival included secrets, ambition, menace, a fun run and gobbledy[filtered word], but the door is open for all sorts. This year the festival will need original plays for a week-long line-up next May but writers must submit their entries to oneacts@thecornerhouse.org by Thursday, October 31.
