Central Parade
Cowbells will be clanging all over Surbiton as skiers race through the borough in tomorrow's big Suburban ski-off.
This time round thrill-seeking residents will jingle the Swiss livestock souvenirs as they slide down St Mark’s Hill with their shoes attached to slippery ice cubes.
Anyone is invited to take part in the Seething suburban skiing event that hopes to find the fastest and hopefully the noisiest skier of all. The event which is now in its fourth year will be raising money for Shooting Star’s Children’s Hospice and the Creative Youth charity which puts on the International youth Arts Festival every year in Kingston.
The Ski Sunday will take place on October 14 from 11am at St Mark’s Hill and will be followed by a parade that will end with residents going to the King’s Soup event. Here they will all join forces to help cook a hearty soup for a community feast at Claremont Gardens.
